Meet Dr. Robert Hamilton (Owensboro, KY)

Robert Hamilton, O.D. graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry and studied at the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate education. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and holds an expanded therapeutics certificate with an endorsement to perform anterior segment laser procedures. Dr. Hamilton is experienced in treating ocular disease, including minor surgical procedures and the use of in-office lasers. He is also heavily involved in co-management of LASIK and other eye surgeries. Dr. Hamilton joined RiverPark EyeCare in 2003 and has been in private practice since 1996.

Dr. Hamilton is a former clinical examiner for the National Board of Optometric Examiners and has previously worked at an area surgical eye clinic. He is a past trustee of the board of directors of the Kentucky Optometric Association and a member of the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and the American Optometric Association. He is also a past president of the Southwest Indiana Optometric Association and a previous board member of the Huntingburg Lion’s Club.

Outside of work, Dr. Hamilton is a licensed private pilot and member of the Ayer Flying Club in Owensboro.
